Celebrating the Growth of Lakeland Women's Soccer! 

What an incredible journey it has been!

In Lakeland, our mission has always been to create a supportive, inclusive environment where female athletes can thrive, grow, and reach their full potential.

Since the 2023 outdoor season, we have proudly sent an all-female Senior Women's team to the Alberta Soccer Provincial Tournament every season. What started as a determined group of just 12 players attending our first Provincials has grown into something truly special.

Over the past three years, our women's program has expanded from that single "rag-tag" team into a district women's league with four teams . This growth is a testament to the dedication of our players, families, and supporters who continue to believe in the power of women's soccer in our communities!

And this fall, we're reaching another exciting milestone - we will be sending two Senior Women's teams to the Alberta Soccer Provincial Championships for the first time!

One of the greatest strengths of our Senior Women's program is the opportunity it creates for mentorship. Experienced players help guide the next generation, while younger athletes bring fresh energy and enthusiasm. Together, they build teams rooted in a culture of respect, inclusion, friendship, and a shared love of the game.

We're proud of how far we've come, and we're even more excited about where we're headed. Here's to continuing to grow the game and inspiring the next generation!
