The Preferred Training Model – Its all about FUN
This training model uses different stations to set up and keep the flow of the session moving. Players in small groups participate in activities that focus on individual technical skills, like passing or turning, followed by small sided games. After each activity, the player rotates to a new coach.
There are many benefits to this approach for players. With this approach to training, our young players:
- Receive good technical instruction, often with a ball to player ratio of 1:1
- Learn with free play in small sided games
- Experience a number of different coaches, helping to keep their attention focused.
- Develop social skills and constantly have to adapt to new challenges.
The preferred training model can be adapted to different numbers of players and the space available.
